Once upon a time, in a cozy little burrow at the edge of a sunny garden, there lived a small, soft
bunny named Bella. Bella had long, floppy ears and a fluffy white tail that bounced when she
hopped. Hop, hop, hop! That was the sound Bella loved to make every single morning.
One warm afternoon, Bella hopped out to the garden and found something wonderful. A whole patch of big, round, orange carrots! “Carrots, carrots, carrots!” Bella cheered, clapping her little paws together. She picked one, two, three, four, five carrots, and piled them all up just for herself.

Just then, her best friend Tiggy the Squirrel scampered over, holding only one tiny acorn. “Hello,
Bella!” said Tiggy with a happy wave. “Wow, look at all your yummy carrots! I only found this one
little acorn today.”

Bella looked at her big pile of carrots. Then she looked at Tiggy’s one small acorn. “These are all
mine,” Bella said quietly, wrapping her paws around the carrots.
Tiggy’s bushy tail drooped, just a little bit. “That’s okay, Bella,” Tiggy said softly. “I hope you have a
yummy dinner.” Tiggy turned around slowly to hop away home.
Bella watched Tiggy walk away. She looked down at her five big carrots. Five is a lot of carrots for
one little bunny! Bella thought and thought. Then she remembered what her mama always said:
“Sharing makes everything sweeter, Bella.”
“Tiggy, wait!” Bella called out, hopping after her friend as fast as her feet could go. “Come back!”
Tiggy turned around, surprised. Bella held out two big, orange carrots with a smile. “Here,” Bella
said. “One carrot for you, and one carrot for us to share together!” Tiggy’s eyes grew wide and happy. “Really? Thank you, Bella!” Tiggy took the carrot and gave Bella a big, warm hug.
The two friends sat down together in the soft green grass. Crunch, crunch, crunch! They munched
their carrots side by side, giggling between every bite, while the sun began to set, painting the sky
pink and gold.
“You know, Bella,” said Tiggy, “sharing with you made this the best carrot I’ve ever tasted.”
Bella smiled her biggest bunny smile. “Sharing does make everything better,” she said. “I’m so glad
you’re my friend, Tiggy.”
As the stars began to twinkle above the garden, Bella hopped home to her cozy burrow, her tummy
full and her heart even fuller. She curled up in her soft little bed, thinking about her best friend and
their yummy carrots.
“Goodnight, Tiggy,” Bella whispered with a sleepy smile. “Goodnight, garden. Goodnight, stars.”
And with that, Bella closed her eyes and drifted off into a warm, happy sleep. The End.
